Mō te tūnga - About the Role
- 0.575FTE (23 hours a week), Permanent role
- Shifts - Thursday 7am to 1pm, Friday 7am to 2pm, Saturday and Sunday 7am to 1pm
Are you looking to contribute to the community in a meaningful way?
Join our dedicated and hard-working Environmental Services Department and help
maintain our facilities, while providing a suitable environment for
our tūroro (patients) and whānau (families).
You will be part of a small fast paced team that plays an essential part of maintaining Ashburton Hospital Facilities. The team provides exceptional cleaning services 365 days a year, across both day and night shifts.
You will be responsible for:
- Completing all cleaning tasks to a high standard
- Ensure daily schedules and task lists are completed in set time frame
- Working alongside other cleaners to ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Matching service requirements to the clinical needs
- Maintenance of equipment and operated according to specifications
- Utilise the correct chemicals and dilutions
Salary starting rate $23.75 per hour. Based on the E tū Service and Food
Workers collective agreement

We are looking for a reliable, hard working and flexible candidate who is able to bring their passion for cleaning to the Ashburton facility.
This role will suit a candidate that is looking to help make the Hospital and hygienic and safe space for our patients and whanau.
There will also be the possibility to pick up extra hours.
Full training will be provided to all new staff joining our team.

- Experience as a cleaner, particularly within health is preferred but not essential.
