Salary: NZNO Meca based on experience $81,683 - $106,739 pro rata

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We are looking for an experienced Emergency Nurse with current NZRC level 6 and Australasian Triage qualifications to join our busy vibrant team.
Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team
Hutt Emergency Department (ED) is a level 4 emergency care service and sees approximately 80,000 patients a year. Generally it is at its busiest in the winter months. Patient acuity ranges from walking wounded` to life threatening emergencies such as cardiac arrest and trauma
Our service includes a 10 bed Minor injuries unit and a distraction therapy waiting area called the - tree Hutt - for our paediatric patients presenting to the Emergency department. Our team comprises over 100 full time equivalent (FTE) medical and nursing staff together with health care assistants and administrative staff. A Nurse Manager, a Clinical Head of Emergency Medicine, and an Operation Manager who reports to the Group Manager for Hospital Operations provide leadership. There is also the professional nursing accountability to the Nurse Director of Acute Patient Flow.
Moū - About you
- Recent Emergency Nursing Experience within New Zealand
- Registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ)
- A current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) and scope appropriate to place of work
- Demonstrates an understanding of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, including how to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way in the nursing role
- NZRC advance level 6 / Australasian Triage Qualification
