Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We are currently looking for multiple applicants to fill the new hours approved for HCA work. We are open minded around hours and days worked, willing to be flexible for the right candidates. This work will mostly be within the paediatric ward but with some hours shared with the Neonatal Unit. We are recruiting to cover 12 hours a day over 7 days of the week.
Both Neonatal and Paediatrics are very unique departments, the HCA role reflects this. Supporting the nursing staff and families is a primary role for the HCA, therefore we welcome applicants from compassionate and hardworking HCAs who are going be a great team fit.

Moū - About you
- Previous experience as an HCA.
- Experience working with babies, children and families.
- A strong focus on teamwork.
- A passion for improving health outcomes for the tamariki of Taranaki
We are looking for an HCA that is motivated and can work autonomously, has excellent interpersonal skills as well as being able to adapt and be flexible within their work environment. You will need to have amazing team working skills and be willing to help out where the need arises. Being flexible and dynamic is essential.
