Clinical Specialist (Nurse or Anaesthetic Technician) - Patient Blood Management

- Permanent- Part time (0.4 FTE) position
- Location – Auckland City Hospital
Are you passionate about blood management? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
This is a permanent role working 0.4 FTE, Monday to Sunday.
We are looking for an experienced registered nurse (RN) or anaesthetic technican (AT) to join our Patient Blood Management (PBM) team, working towards optimal blood use across all clinical services at Te Toka Tumai. This role involves working alongside the NZ Blood Service and Te Toka Tumai’s Blood Transfusion Committee to engage with clinical wards and services, in particular high blood users. You will be supported by experienced and professional clinical experts who are dedicated and focused on providing quality health outcomes for our patients.
You will be expected to:
- Work collaboratively to develop sustainable approaches to encourage appropriate blood transfusion across Te Toka Tumai
- Lead continuous quality improvement by providing support and education to clinical staff in evidence based patient blood management practices.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
You will be a passionate, energetic RN or AT with significant clinical experience and proven coaching and education skills; holding current APC with either the Nursing Council of NZ or Medical Sciences Council. You will ideally be on a pathway or have completed relevant post graduate study.
We have a part time position available. Shifts will be predominantly Monday to Friday with some flexibility around shift hours.
