About the role

In this newly created role, reporting directly to the Manager - Policy (Operations), you will provide technical advice and oversight of regulatory settings related to the security and reliability of the electricity system. Your work will involve proactively assessing emerging challenges, leveraging lessons from domestic and international power system events, and forecasting the impacts of system changes. Collaboration will be essential as you engage with key stakeholders, such as the system operator and the Authority's Security and Reliability Council, to ensure regulatory changes are effectively prioritised and implemented.

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to form and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Experience and/or knowledge of the energy sector, regulation, or similarly complex sectors (advantageous)
