Location:  Wellington and Kenepuru

Service:    Endocrine, Diabetes & Research Department

Contract:  Permanent. 0.8 FTE / 32 hours per week

Salary:      Step 2 - 6 NZNO MECA - pro rata for part time

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Wellington is the regional centre for endocrinology for Central New Zealand. This RN position supports the medical and clinical nursing team in the diagnosis, treatment and education for :

  • Thyroid dysfunction
  • Pituitary disorders
  • Adrenal conditions
  • Bone disease & osteoporosis
  • Neuroendocrine tumours
  • Sex hormone imbalances
  • Disorders of growth & development
  • Gender affirming hormone therapy

The Endocrine RN provides dynamic diagnostic IV tests altering medication prior following the protocol and booking their own clinics. They also administer intravenous treatments for specific endocrine diseases.

Moū - About you

  • Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ)
  • A current practicing certificate and appropriate scope 
  • Clinical experience aligning with Endocrine conditions 
  • IV Cannulation and Phlebotomy experience
