About the Role
An exciting position is available at Te Whatu Ora - Waikato District Fleet vehicle Services based in Hamilton.
The key functions of this role are:
- Provide leadership and daily operational management of the fleet team.
- Work closely with key service users to ensure the fleet vehicles meet clinical needs, is at the most optimal levels and service meets all legislative compliance.
- Work closely with all key stakeholders including external vendors to ensure fuel and all expenditure relating to fleet vehicles and use of the vehicles are most cost effective and efficient
- Effectively manage all contracts and Policies
- Develop and implement Fleet decarbonisation
- Regular Reporting and monitoring of all aspects relating to fleet service to relevant services
- Achieve high user satisfaction rate
- Deliver on and participate within the Te whate national Fleet management programme.
- Be the Subject matter expert for all matters relating to fleet vehicles
About the Service
This service is responsible for about 550 leased vehicles across the Waikato region with many vehicles based in rural and community services all around the region.
At 550 vehicles the fleet is one of the largest and spread out in NZ Hospitals.
About you
The successful applicant should have the following attributes:
- Proven track record in people management
- Experience fleet manager or similar
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
- Unafraid to challenge status quo, hardworking and lateral thinker
- Is able to successfully work within all Policies and legislative guidelines
- Must have a full NZ driver’s license.
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
- Experience in upholding Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
