About our group | Mō te roopu 

 

The Corporate Services Group’s objective is to work in close partnership with the wider business to lead, support and enable the EPA to achieve its strategic intentions and to effectively deliver its core functions.    

 

Finance & Business Services team provides leadership and support across finance, procurement, planning and performance, risk and assurance, and facilities.  

 

  • Finance and procurement delivers accurate, timely and meaningful financial information and manages internal procurement activity and contract management.  

  • Planning and performance leads organisational performance, business and strategic planning, and provides high quality internal and external accountability reporting.  

  • Risk and assurance operates processes to manage the EPA’s strategic and business risks and manages the out-sourced internal audit function.  

  • Facilities provides high-quality office and facilities services and leads the EPA’s sustainability initiatives.  

 

 

About the role | Mō te tūnga  

 

The purpose of the Accountant position is to significantly contribute to both the financial and the management accounting functions within the Finance Team. This includes the provision of sound financial information, controls, advice and maintenance of reporting systems and processes. 

 

About you | Mōhou ake  

 

We are looking for someone with a range of skills and experience – if you have some or all of the below, we would love to hear from you. 

 

  • Excellent numeracy and technical accounting skills 

  • Knowledge of operational procedures regarding financial administration 

  • Customer and relationship management skills 

  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, informing others) 

  • Excellent planning and organising skills, including time management, and prioritising work 

  • Proficiency working with accounting software packages; Oracle Fusion (desirable) 

  • Experience working as part of a team providing financial services 

  • Experience in dealing with internal and external stakeholders

Salary range |   

 

$71,618 - $107,426 per annum (midpoint $89,522).  

 

This is the full salary range. Appointments are made within the range depending on skills and experience.
