Job Description

Are you an experienced accounts professional with a strong background in the construction industry? We are seeking a dedicated and talented Accounts Manager to join our dynamic team in Hamilton.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Manage relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, addressing any financial queries or issues.
  • Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with department managers to track and report on project costs and profitability.
  • Provide support during audits and assist with tax preparation.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Manager or similar role within a mid to large-sized construction company would be preferred.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
