An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Credit Administrator / Accounts Payable Clerk to join a high-performing credit management team. This role is temporary but plays a key part in providing administrative support across a complex, multi-site environment, ensuring strong relationships with both internal teams and external customers.

About the Role

As a Senior Credit Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting branches by delivering a full credit management service. You will work closely with various stakeholders, ensuring efficient cash collection and effective resolution of customer queries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with branches and customers, providing exceptional service and advice.
  • Allocate and process customer credit card payments and bank reconciliations as needed.
  • Assess creditworthiness and manage the setup of new accounts, conducting relevant credit checks within agreed SLAs.
  • Maintain debtor administration, including data maintenance, credit limit reviews, and resolving account queries.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams such as sales representatives, branch staff, and the commercial team to meet goals and targets.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.

  • Proven experience in credit control administration with a strong track record in managing trade accounts, payment allocations, and reconciliations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships.
  • A proactive and solution-focused mindset, capable of working independently while contributing to a team environment.
