We are looking for a proactive and experienced Administrator to join our Corrections Services team based at our Regional Administration Building in Trentham, Upper Hutt, on a full-time, fixed-term basis.
Ngā kawenga | About the role
This integral role calls for a proactive and experienced Administrator who is very familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite and has the ability to pick up new systems quickly. You will enjoy juggling a variety of tasks including, but not limited to;
- Non-Violence Programme (NVP) attendance loading/invoice crosschecking. Supporting Victim Notification for 3 regions – East Coast, Whanganui & Taranaki. Also being a back up person for the Wellington Region NVP Referrals.
- Preparing meeting agendas and papers,
- Taking minutes, processing invoices and updating databases,
- Coordinating projects and/or event management support,
- Travel and accommodation bookings,
- Management of inboxes, car bookings and collation of data.
A variety of other general administration tasks can also be included within this role as well.
With pride in your work, you need to provide a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Integrity is key, maintaining confidentiality and discretion, whilst your ability to juggle tasks and communicate effectively to customers and colleagues alike provides a strong foundation in all that you do.
This is a 6 month fixed-term, full-time position - working Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week.

The preferred candidate will demonstrate;
- Experience in providing efficient and effective administration support including organising meetings, preparing meeting agendas and taking minutes
- Advanced knowledge of administrative processes, systems and technology
- Ability to build and maintain professional working relationships with a diverse cross section of people across a range of organisational levels
- Commitment to teamwork within a shared services environment
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to multi-task and support multiple stakeholders
- Sound judgment in the prioritising of tasks and activities to meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A pragmatic approach to problem solving
- Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge
- Ability to analyse data and to draw conclusions

Utu ā-tau | Salary
The salary range for this role is $57,824 - $62,084. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
