About the Role
We are looking for an administration superstar with a high degree of organisational skills, exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work under pressure in a busy and demanding environment. This includes coordinating emergency and alarm procedures throughout the hospital alongside daily administration and phone/switchboard duties.
You would be working within a team that contributes in some way toward helping those in the community who require medical assistance. You will need to be able to deal with an incredibly diverse range of people, staff, patients and their families - all of them needing your assistance.
There is a variety of roles you could be undertaking with varying shifts. These can include Emergency Reception, Telephonist, Main Reception etc. The hours and days of work will vary depending on the role you are working in. We are a 24/7 service and the hours and days will change depending on the role you are working in. The shifts are generally:
- 07.00am - 3.30pm
- 12.00pm - 8.30pm
- 3.00pm - 11.00pm
- 11.00pm - 07.00am

About you
- Ability to work in high pressure situations while maintaining data accuracy
- Ability to take direction well and work as a part of our team
- A keen eye for detail and accountable for own work
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders with a focus on excellent customer service and delivery
- Excellent customer service skills
- Maintains the strictest Confidentiality and Privacy
- Competency with/or commitment to te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.

Salary Range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of PSA Admin Collective (Band 3) and the salary will be in accordance with the Pay Scale, and dependent on relevant experience.
