Te Haeata/The Opportunity
Coroners Court are currently looking for a Hastings based (6 month fixed term, full time) Administration Support Officer.
You will be working in a fast-changing environment that will require a high level of agility and resiliency.
You will have strong interpersonal skills that will support your work with the coronial case managers and the coroners, but also be capable of dealing with distraught family members in sensitive circumstances. An ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds is essential.
You will be expected to provide excellent and highly organised administrative support to case managers and our coroners. You will need to build and maintain excellent relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

If you have the following key skills, then we would like to hear from you:
- Work effectively and calmly in stressful situations
- Be able to handle viewing photographic coronial material
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised, great at multi-tasking and able to prioritise effectively
- Enjoy working in a reactive as well as a proactive and fast paced environment
- Professional and confident phone manner
- Exceptional record-keeping skills with accurate typing and data entry
- A good working knowledge of Word, Excel & Adobe
- Ability to work both with direction and independently
- A desire to learn and adapt
- Relevant previous experience from other similar roles
As travel may be required on occasion, you must be able to travel. You will need to hold a full New Zealand Drivers' Licence.
This is a challenging role that will allow you to utilise your empathy, administrative experience, people and relationship management skills to a high level and be part of the team that provides New Zealanders with a first-class Coronial Service.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $54,343 and $74,416 based on skills and experience.
