Mō te tūnga | About the role

As the Advisor, you will support core activities that provide visibility and understanding of operations and performance of the two entities we monitor, Kāinga Ora and Tamaki Regeneration Company. You will help us identify key risks and support the provision of advice to Ministers.

You will bring your understanding of public sector processes and excellent relationship management to support the team.

The Advisor is responsible for contributing to:

  • The development of core accountability documents including letter of expectations and providing advice for Ministers on the subsequent reporting against these expectations by the agencies we monitor.
  • The Board appointment process on behalf of Ministers for the agencies we monitor.
  • Ministerial servicing requests such as Official Information Act requests and Parliamentary Questions.
  • Advice to HUD senior management to facilitate meaningful engagement with the Board and senior management of the monitored agencies.
  • Representing Crown entity monitoring internally in the policy formulation and evaluation activity where relevant.

The salary range for this role is $73,946 - $90,378 + 3 per cent Kiwisaver contribution.
