Advisor, Learning

We are looking for an experienced Learning Designer to join our Learning and Capability Development team. Based in our National Office, Wellington, you will work with a team of creative experts to build learning solutions across a range of capability areas. These include Leadership Development; Induction; Health and Safety; Diversity and Inclusion; Te Ao Māori; and systems and operational learning. 

Our team creates learning solutions for over 8000 people working in the Ministry of Social Development. You will be part of a fast-paced dynamic team, with experience in creating learning solutions that are:

  • accessible and innovative 
  • embed diversity and inclusion
  • strengthen te Ao Māori, and
  • evoke curiosity to continue to grow capability

You will be someone who has effective relationship management, analysis, design and evaluation skills.  
 

As a successful candidate you will have experience in: 

  • Building a range of learning solutions
  • Applying Te Ao Māori consideration in the design and development of learning solutions
  • Wire framing, storyboarding and scripting experience


We are seeking a confident, inquisitive and pragmatic person with technical expertise in one/two or more of the areas below:

  • Development of learning using multi-media resources and the use of technology including Articulate 360 and Premiere Pro
  • Graphic design/digital skills within a range of Adobe Creative Cloud applications
  • Production and editing of filming and voice recording 
  • Qualifications in or proven understanding of Adult Learning, Instructional Design and Learning Design (or another relevant field)
