Crown Law provides legal advice and representation to the Government in matters that affect everyone in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Our mahi ranges from the enforcement of criminal law and protection of the revenue, to matters involving human rights and te Tiriti o Waitangi/the Treaty of Waitangi. Our counsel appear at all levels of court in Aotearoa, from the Supreme Court through to the District Court and various tribunals. Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
Due to a member of our team going on parental leave, we are looking for someone who can come in until the end of November 2025.
We're a small team in a small organisation with a busy work programme. We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to respond to information requests and correspondence directed at Crown Law and to help us support the Private Secretary in the Attorney General's Office.
Ideally, you will have:
- strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be comfortable working with people at all levels of the organisation
- experience in managing official information and other requests for information
- strong organisational skills to be able to work under the pressure of multiple demands and use organisational templates and processes
- an understanding of the machinery of government, including the Official Information Act and Privacy Act.
This role is Wellington based and located next to the Wellington bus and train station. We are a flexible organisation and team, so we'd be happy to chat about what flexible working would look like for you and how we can support that.
The appointing salary range for this role is $71,663-$93,367 based on skills and experience.
