Advisor Operational Policy

What we do
Operational Policy is a unique team working across MSD to:
- support the policy design and development process to ensure best fit for our people and clients, and
- support the implementation and delivery of policies to ensure they align with policy and legislation
We also provide advice on current policy and legislation, individual client cases, and are responsible for writing and maintaining MSD's operational policy guidelines (Map).
The Advisor role
As an advisor, you'll find yourself:
- providing advice on current policy and legislation, including individual client cases
- working collaboratively to support the design and development of new and existing policy, legislation, and operational policy
- supporting our Service Delivery colleagues to implement and deliver products and services in line with policy and legislation
- translating operational policy design into written guidelines (Map) for our people
- maintaining Map e.g. making sure it is consistent and coherent, identifying areas for improvement
- analysing policy initiatives from other sector agencies to understand how they impact or interact with MSD policies, and/or affect MSD clients
Skills and attributes
To be successful in the role you'll have:
- strong research, analysis, and problem-solving skills
- experience in client service delivery e.g. CM, CSR, CPO
- good attention to detail
- excellent communication skills, especially written
- strong time and self-management skills
- the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships

Salary range: $78,222.00 - $94,689.00
