This permanent role is a part of the Review and Improvement Services Māori Business Group and directly leads a team of review officers delivering a programme of evaluations, reviews, inquiries and investigations into the quality of kura and
whare kura
operating in te reo Māori medium settings.
Reporting to the Toka ā Nuku | Director Te Uepū-ā-Motu your focus is to ensure that Māori learners succeed as Māori through leading the team gathering intelligence to support immersion national insights and enhancements to the system.
You will lead a dedicated team of Māori Medium Review Officers. We see you bringing exceptional talent in building and maintaining the capability of the team through coaching, mentoring, performance management and ensuring appropriate systems, methodologies and controls are in place to support quality team outputs. You will work collaboratively across the Review and Improvement Services Māori leadership team to ensure a tone and culture consistent with the attainment of EROs strategic goals and objectives.

- Your knowledge and experience, or willingness to learn about Te Tiriti o Waitangi, tikanga Māori, te reo Māori and te ao Māori.
- How you've demonstrated, encouraged, or supported diversity and inclusion in or outside of work.
- Where you've demonstrated leadership in a time of change e.g. Led by example, demonstrated problem solving, owned a project or piece of work, used positive influence to bring about improvements to practice.

- Your understanding of the machinery of government and related processes and procedures.
