Te tūranga - The role

The Applications Analyst is part of the Application Support and Technical Operations (ASTO) team. The role is responsible for providing systems support and assisting with the development of the payment and settlement systems to ensure they function to optimal levels and meet the RBNZ's and stakeholder needs. The role works closely with the NZClear and ESAS product owners in analysing change to the systems, ensuring the systems are optimally configured, assisting with testing, identifying areas of improvement, and providing second level support as a subject matter expert.

Ō pūkenga - About you

To be successful in this role you'll have:

  • A strong understanding of business analysis and documenting requirements.
  • An understanding of financial markets and/or payment and settlement systems. Prior experience with NZClear, ESAS, or SWIFT messaging would be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Be a team player who is collaborative and represents their opinions in a constructive way.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyse complex problems and identify practical solutions.
