At Manatū Hauora – Ministry of Health we are the kaitiaki of the health system, providing leadership and driving strategy and performance. We regulate the health sector and are the primary source of advice on health matters.

The Product Regulation team is responsible for the regulation of medicines, with particular emphasis on the quality, timeliness and efficiency of processes.

 

Ko ake mahi - What you'll do

You will provide crucial administrative support, process and manage regulatory applications for medicines, and offer guidance to the pharmaceutical industry on Medsafe's processes. You will ensure compliance with Medsafe's Quality System, handle official documents, maintain accurate databases, and contribute to process improvements. You will manage time effectively to meet deadlines, fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and upholding the priority of equity and Treaty of Waitangi responsibilities.

 

Ko pūkenga - What you'll bring

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Science, Business Administration, Health) or equivalent technical experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build effective working relationships
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Demonstrated ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • High computer literacy and adaptability to new processes
  • Knowledge in medicine regulation
  • Experience with workflow databases
  • Experience working with a regular
