Job Description
Our client is seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Cook to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a kitchen environment and enjoys preparing delicious meals while working in a collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sunday: Sole charge cooking during the day (7:00 am to 12:30 pm) and assisting with dinner service and clean-up in the evening (4:00 pm to 7:00 pm).
- Monday to Thursday: Support the duty cooks with food preparation, dinner service, and assisting with clean-up.
- On-call hours may be available, along with opportunities to assist the team with other functions.
Hours of Work:
- Sunday: 7:00 am - 12:30 pm and 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm (split shift)
- Monday: 12:20 pm - 7:30 pm
- Tuesday to Thursday: 3:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Total Hours per Fortnight: 58 hours
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in a kitchen environment is preferred.
- Ability to work independently, especially on Sundays, when sole charge cooking is required.
- Ability to work efficiently with the team, assisting with food prep, service, and clean-up.
- Strong attention to detail and hygiene standards.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
