About this position:

The Associate Charge Nurse works to support the Charge Nurse in coordinating the delivery of high quality, safe, client and family/whānau focused care in accordance with nursing philosophy, professional standards, legislative and organisational standards, policy and procedure.

 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience leading a team and recognised by colleagues as a high functioning leader.
  • Minimum of three years recent clinical experience in emergency nursing roles.
  • Post graduate qualification, or equivalent academic learning in Trauma and Emergency Nursing (or working towards)
  • Evidence of proficient level of practice on all aspects outlined in CENNZ Knowledge and Skills Framework.
  • Proficient Level Professional Development Recognition Programme (PDRP) Portfolio, and evidence of working towards expert level PDRP
  • Triage certification.
  • Computer literacy at intermediate level. Effective skills in delegating, negotiating, facilitating, and teaching.
  • Ability to implement innovative ideas and solutions to overcome obstacles.
  • Is seen as highly effective, progressive, and knowledgeable.

This is a permanent, 0.8FTE role working rostered, rotating shifts.

The annual salary will be on the Grade 2 of the Senior Designated Nurses salary scale, within the range $116,040 - $127,674 Salary is proportionate to hours worked.
