Associate Clinical Nurse Manager (ACNM) – Emergency Department, New Plymouth Hospital, Permanent, Full-time

If you have the enthusiasm for providing a vital leadership role in an emergency department supporting the Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) in overseeing nursing staff and ensuring high-quality patient care, then this could be the role for you!
We have a permanent full-time position available as an Associate Clinical Nurse Manager in the Base (New Plymouth) Emergency department, working across Monday to Friday.
The ACNM in the ED plays a vital role in maintaining efficiency, staff morale, and patient safety, ensuring that the ED can handle anything from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies.
The ACNM will work alongside the ED nursing team, doctors, and allied health professionals to manage patient flow, staff coordination, and clinical operations in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

About you – Ke korero mōu
Preferred candidates will have:
· At least five (5) years of Emergency Department and/or acute care experience
· A current New Zealand – Aotearoa nursing practicing certificate (APC)
· Desire to make a difference in our community
· Must have completed or working towards PG Diploma or Masters
· It is desired for the candidate to have proficient, expert or senior nurse portfolio
· Must have leadership experience
· Currently working with the New Zealand health system
· A “can do” attitude
· A commitment to ongoing education to support excellence in emergency nursing
· A strong focus on patient assessment
