About the Role
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Transport of patients, blood collection, cleaning defined areas, mail sorting/deliveries, removal of rubbish and linen.
- Provide customer focused co-ordination and telephone service for the attendant team including completion of accurate data, recording and processing of requests as required.
About the Team
We are an integral and diverse team that works throughout the hospital across all specialities, supporting all clinical staff to maintain good hospital flow. We are in the front line to meet and greet hospital patients and are the last to see them out. We are a friendly and welcoming team that support each other offering a pathway for opportunities to work within the Te Whatu Ora organisation.
About you
- Skills and experience you’ll need to be considered for the role:
- Excellent fitness to work in an environment with heavy physical demands including frequent walking, pushing and lifting Willingness to follow direction and carry out tasks in a timely efficient manner
- The ability to build and maintain positive respectful relationships with customers and team members
- Be reliable with an excellent attendance record
- A full NZ driver’s licence for automatic and manual vehicles is essential
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand
