Job Description

A highly respected organisation is seeking an experienced Board Secretary to join its Governance team. This role is crucial in supporting senior leadership and board functions, ensuring smooth governance processes and high-level administrative efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert board support within a complex organisational environment.
  • Manage sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
  • Coordinate governance-related activities, including meeting preparation, minutes, and follow-up actions.
  • Support project planning and delivery within governance frameworks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure a high standard of service delivery across governance and administrative functions.
About You:
  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or a similar qualification.
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in board roles within the private or public sector within New Zealand.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional time management and the ability to work under pressure.
  • A high level of accuracy, with a typing speed of at least 70 words per minute.
  • Experience in project management or agile ways of working is advantageous.
