Key responsibilities:
· Provide technical advice on building services trades and system selection.
· Review consultant designs and provide buildability advice.
· Review sub-contractor tenders and prepare risk registers.
· Collaborate with quantity surveyors and estimators on cost inputs.
· Maintain relationships with consultants and sub-contractors.
· Facilitate the initiation and review of shop drawings, ensuring timely approval.
· Verify programmes regarding procurement times and installation durations.
· Develop solutions for complex installation issues.
· Attend site meetings to identify potential problems and update the project team.
· Manage commissioning planning and oversee handovers in line with construction documentation.
Experience required:
· Proven experience as a Project Manager in M&E building services with a construction contractor in New Zealand.
· Strong technical knowledge of building services trades and systems.
· Experience with project management from preconstruction through to handover.
· Ability to develop high-level strategies and solutions for complex issues.
· Excellent communication and organizational skills.
· Proficiency in reviewing and managing shop drawings, technical submissions, and compliance documentation.
· Experience in supervising and coordinating multiple trades on-site.
