About the opportunity:
A newly created role, we are seeking a legal expert to join our Shared Services team to provide in-house legal advice and support. This is a part time opportunity, approximately 16 hours a week, working across a variety of tasks including wills and requests as they come in, property transactions, bequest matters, commercial contracts, intellectual property compliance as well as the other legal administrative components of such work.

Reporting into the Head of Shared Services, you will be a barrister/solicitor of the high court with the ability to represent the Heart Foundation in the High Court, if needed. You will be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get stuck into whatever may be needed, whether that be providing advice or legal secretary tasks.

About you:

  • Qualified to represent in the High Court and engage with the Land Transport Act when needed
  • Experience in legal administration or secretarial work, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and manage both legal work and admin tasks.
  • Strong legal knowledge and experience, particularly around wills, property law, and family disputes.
  • A calm and personable demeanour
