Job Description

Our client has an urgent requirement for an experienced Business Development Consultant to join their Auckland team.

We aren't looking for an account manager, we need a bonafide hunter who has an established network in Auckland with ideally execs or C-suite, can or has sold professional services, is familiar with cloud and knows enough technically to be impressive.

The Business Development Consultant position was established to assist in achievement of strategic growth, brand recognition, revenue and profit objectives. 

It is important that you have Sales experience within an IT Consultancy/Cloud/Managed Service Provider or a services function.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify and qualify sales opportunities relevant to the company services and convert qualified prospects into profitable business.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals and RFx responses, coordinating the resources of the company, its partners and associates.
  • Negotiate contracts consistent with the company's Terms of Business.
  • Acquire new clients and business opportunities for the company
  • Attend partner and client functions and marketing, seminars, occasionally outside of normal working hours.
  • Maintain open communication with management, consultants, clients, partners and associates.
