About the Role

The Cardiac Physiologist is an allied health, scientific and technical professional who has formally demonstrated an ability to apply expert clinical competence to a highly advanced level of complexity in a defined clinical area within the clinical physiology scope of practice. 

  • Provide specialist Cardiology physiology practice with a particular focus on Pacing
  • Participate in the growth and development of the Cardiology Service
  • Provide clinical teaching and support to all relevant stakeholders, including patients and their whanau, students, staff and other health professionals
  • Evaluate service requirements and participate in the implementation of clinical research and audits

About you

  • BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent
  • New Zealand registration and current annual practising certificate
  • Recognised Post Graduate Qualification (IBHRE)
  • CPRB (and/or international equivalent) Registration with current practicing certificate
  • Current Driver's License
  • Willingness to travel
  • Excellent self-management and organisational skills
  • You will be an autonomous practitioner with ability to report independently

Whilst not essential, a relevant clinical post graduate Master's degree or six years post qualification experience within the area of specialty i.e. cardiac physiology including equivalent of 4 years Pacing experience is highly desirable.
