About the role
We are looking for a Qualified Cardiac Sonographer to join our busy Cardiac Physiology and Sonography Team. The successful candidate will be located in New Zealand and be able to start straight away or be prepared to relocate to the Manawatu region.
This is a 0.8 position – 32 hours per week and includes inpatient, outpatient and outreach clinics within the DHB, as well as regional service development. There is also a possibility that this position will have an on-call requirement going forward.
Applications are invited from qualified, experienced Cardiac Sonographers. Expertise in all aspects of Cardiac Sonography is desired. The MidCentral Health Cardiology team provides an integrated service including echocardiography, pacing follow up & implants, cardiac angiography, and diagnostic testing.
About you
You will have:
- Registration as a Cardiac Sonographer with MRTB or be eligible for registration with MRTB.
- An annual practicing certificate
- A suitable relevant post-graduate qualification
- A Minimum of 2+ years' experience working full-time as a registered Cardiac Sonographer.
- Will have or obtain a Full NZ driver License and be prepared to travel to outlying clinics as required
- Start as soon as possible (negotiable)
Procedures you will be involved in:
- All aspects of Cardiac Sonography including experience in all facets TOE, TTE, Paediatric studies, complex adult congenital studies, stress echo, bubble studies
- On call roster + outreach clinics in future
- Some Saturday work/OT may be required
