CASUAL REGISTERED MIDWIFE, PUAWAI AROHA MATERNITY UNIT
Hauora Tairāwhiti is looking for experienced Registered Midwives who are available to work casual shifts in our Puawai Aroha Maternity Unit.
We are a level two maternity unit with an adjacent neonatal unit and antenatal clinic facilities. Our unit boasts a relaxed atmosphere and has five birthing suites including an active birthing room and eight ante/postnatal rooms which are well resourced to provide a high standard of care by our friendly team. These suites/rooms are situated together so midwives work across all areas.
We have five obstetric consultants with an average birth rate of 700 per year. Primary care is provided by one of the local Lead Maternity Carers who are all midwives, with the support from the core midwifery team and the obstetric team if and when required.
We all work closely together so that we can improve our outcomes for mums and babies and have strong organisational values of:
Whakarangatira (to enrich)
Awhi (to support)
Kotahitanga (togetherness)
Aroha (Compassion)
"Whāia te hauora i Roto i te Kotahitanga - A Healthier Tairāwhiti by working together".
