About the ARHOP Service:
Adult Rehabilitation and Health of Older People (ARHOP) provides specialist inpatient, outpatients, rehabilitation and community-based services, the demands for which will continue to grow in the future.
We are offering an opportunity for a senior registered nurse to join the ARHOP team and take a lead nursing role in the management of our Adult rehabilitation ward. This ward receives and manages rehabilitation of stroke patients as well as under 65 years general rehabilitation patients.
Our model of care is designed to provide co-ordinated care of a vulnerable cohort of patients. It involves working closely as an Interdisciplinary team and a strong focus of working with patient and whanau in their rehabilitation journey.
Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a motivated nurse leader with stroke and/or rehabilitation experience to lead our nursing team in Ward 23. You will enjoy the challenges that leading a team brings, by demonstrating excellence in clinical practice, management and team collaboration, providing high quality nursing care and commitment to patient focused outcomes. You will have a passion towards stroke & rehabilitation.
This role requires day to day coordination and management in Ward 23, working collaboratively with the Service Manager, Clinical Nurse Director, Nurse Educator, Medical and Allied Health teams.
Patient centred quality initiatives are driven by the Charge Nurse Manager. You will have a “can do” attitude, with the ability to be flexible, adaptable and meet deadlines.
Essential
- New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Minimum of 5 years post registration with demonstrated leadership
- Post graduate Diploma relevant to Gerontology, Stroke or Rehabilitation
- Have an expert PDRP portfolio
- Demonstrated expertise in setting standards and managing practice to achieve standards
- Experience in Health of Older People and/or Adult Rehabilitation Nursing
- Experience in staff management
- Passion for working with older adults
