Chef de Partie - Queenstown
Located in the heart of picturesque Queenstown this 4-star hotel offers stunning views of Lake Wakatipu and is just a stones throw from all the action and adventure that Queenstown has to offer. We are looking for an enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join a small closeknit team.
The role
The hotel has a restaurant open daily for buffet breakfast and a cafe offering a small menu showcasing local favourites. As a CDP you will be working alongside the Head Chef across either breakfast or dinner preparing delicious well-cooked meals for the guests. As the hotel has 85 rooms and apartments you will be required to work alone at time. Some keys responsibilities will be:
Who are you?
While this isn't an entry level role it is also not a senior position so we are flexible in the amount of experience you will have in a commercial kitchen, 6 months to 2 years would be perfect! You'll need to know your way around cooking equipment and have enough confidence in your abilities to run a breakfast (buffet) shift sole charge. Perhaps you're re-entering the work force or wanting to move up from a Commis Chef position, we'll consider most options! To be considered for this role you must:

- Prep work for evenings
- Taking charge of the breakfast shift
- Checking stock levels
- Maintaining a calm demeanour and clear communication

- Reside in New Zealand and hold a valid work visa - no sponsorships or VOC's
- Either live in Queenstown or be able to relocate in the next few weeks
- Be available to work breakfast and/or dinner shifts across a 7 day roster
- Have experience in a commercial kitchen
- Be eager to develop your career
- Have excellent written and verbal command of English
