Chief Advisor Officer

We are looking for a Chief Advisor to the CEO for a community focused organisation. This position offers the chance to make a real impact in the local community through strategic guidance and leadership support.

Key highlights of the role include:

• Providing strategic advice directly to the CEO, including risk management and identifying key areas for focus.
• Working collaboratively across various business units and with key external stakeholders such as mana whenua and community groups.
• Managing one direct report (the Executive Assistant) and supporting the board and Senior Leadership Team.
• The potential to contribute to the community’s regeneration through project business cases and ministerial briefings.

Who you are:

We’re looking for someone with a background in Strategy or Policy, ideally within the public sector, and a deep understanding of New Zealand’s government structures. Your strengths include political insight, exceptional communication skills, and an ability to draft high-quality reports. You’ll be highly organised, adaptable, and excel at building relationships with key stakeholders.

This role is a 12 month fixed term opportunity, however, for the right candidate we are willing to consider permanent.
