With general civils, structures or roading experience to work on projects across Wellington with travel opportunities to other key projects across lower North Island. This client brings a strong outlook on future works, and a team dedicated to training and promoting from within, this role will give an established
Civil Engineer a wide range of future opportunities including progression into Project Management.
Key accountabilities of the position include:
- Understand contract drawings and be able to communicate specifications to the construction team.
- Develop strong working relationships with Foremen to ensure the goals of the project.
- Assist Project Managers with project planning, including programme, work methods, procurement.
- Ensuring Quality Assurance is completed.
- Prepare Work Plans, Inspections, Test Plan, and Job Risk Analysis.
- Quality control of direct and subcontract works.
- Record keeping for performance monitoring.
- Maintaining a Site Diary to record labour, plant, progress and material ordering.
- Uphold high standards for all matters relating to safety.

About you:
- You hold a New Zealand Citizenship or Residency or are currently in NZ with a right to work.
- You hold a trade qualification from the civil/water industry or a NZCE or civil qualification.
- You have worked alongside New Zealand field crews.
- You will have 5+ years experience within the civil or water infrastructure sector.
- Ability to relate to a wide variety of people building and developing strong relationships.
