Enterprise is looking for an experienced Class 5 Truck Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for transporting asphalt, aggregates, and construction materials to and from job sites, ensuring safe and efficient operations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
About the role:
- Operate Class 5 trucks, including tipping trucks, truck and trailer units, or asphalt transporters.
- Deliver asphalt and other materials to roadwork and construction sites across New Zealand.
- Perform pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring the truck is in good working condition.
- Comply with NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) road safety regulations and company safety policies.
- Accurately complete logbooks and delivery records as per New Zealand transport regulations.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials where required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site supervisors, and asphalt crew members.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the truck, reporting any faults or required repairs.
- Valid New Zealand Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience driving Class 5 vehicles, preferably in the asphalt or civil construction industry.
- Knowledge of logbook requirements and work-time regulations in NZ.Experience operating tipper trucks, truck and trailer units, and asphalt transporters is an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends
- Good physical fitness, as some manual handling may be required.Strong teamwork skills and a safety-first mindset.
- WTR (Wheels, Tracks, and Rollers) endorsement is a plus but not required.
