Ko wai mātou | Our Organisation

We are Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland. We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand. Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Children’s Hospital, located in central Auckland.

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

The Adult Emergency Department (AED) and the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) is a fast-paced and dynamic service. We are looking for experienced clerks who is passionate about providing effective and efficient administrative assistance to our team.

The role is to provide clerical support to the AED/CDU staff, being the first point of contact for patients and visitors, and to provide a high-quality customer-focused approach through face to face and telephone contact.

You will be managing reception and performing various administrative tasks, including telephone referral service, data entry for admission, and discharging of patients.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

As an ideal candidate for this role, you will:

  • Have at least 2 years of admin/reception experience (experience in the health sector is beneficial)
  • Be proficient in computer skills and MS Office
  • Have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
