  • Fixed Term 0.25 FTE position working 10 hours per week
  • Hospital Development Directorate
  • Based in Whangarei, but with potential for travel to other sites within the Te Tai Tokerau district.

About the Role

We are seeking interest from experienced Clinical Leaders to provide leadership and expertise to the Hospital Development programme. Focusing on Project Pihi Kaha (Pūkauakaua and Tira Ora)

This leadership role is 10 hours per week and can be worked alongside additional hours in a clinical role or another role within the organisation.

Primary functions of the role related to the Hospital Development programme include:

  • Provide leadership and clinical guidance to Pihi Kaha team members, representing clinical voices across all staffing groups in the hospital system
  • Provide leadership and clinical guidance to colleagues throughout Te Tai Tokerau who are involved in the design, change and construction processes
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the wider Te Tai Tokerau organisation, helping to provide updates and communications to colleagues throughout the organisation.
  • Ensure the provision of efficient, safe and effective patient care through development and co-ordination of clinical systems, ensuring Pihi Kaha adapts existing processes and where required, develops robust, safe, appropriate clinical processes and practices.
  • Participate in quality assurance planning to facilitate the achievement of the goals and objectives of the project team.
  • Contribute to regular project reporting of progress and milestones.
  • Act as a key conduit for communications to the wider organisation, Te Whatu Ora organisations and public entities, particularly to clinical colleagues

About you

To be considered, you must have or be eligible for Vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).
