Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
This is an exciting new role working with the recently (CC) and soon to be (HV) implemented BadgerNet Maternity system. We are looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated and dynamic midwives to join the team. This challenging role is one that will allow you to use your leadership and communication skills to their full potential. You will lead projects and support clinical areas to use the system, creating seamless records for enhanced continuity of care for women, pēpi and whānuau across the motu. There is the opportunity to work either full time or part time in this senior midwifery role.
The key aspects of the role include monitoring and educating clinicians/users on their use of BadgerNet as well and analysing and interpreting the data that comes from its use. The role will work across the district supporting the use and administration of the Maternity Clinical Information System: BadgerNet.

The BadgerNet Team is a collaborative and self-motivated team, who are passionate about the BadgerNet platform and how it can be used to enhance the continuity of care for women, and ease of use for clinicians. The team works in a supportive environment to develop team member - s skills and knowledge around different aspects of the platform. While the role is complex and detailed you will have the support of the Team Leader and the team as you dive into this rewarding work.
Moū - About you
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- A current APC and a minimum of 3 years clinical experience within the New Zealand Midwifery System
- At least one years - experience working within Health NZ, Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley Districts
- Ability to develop networks, build relationships with a diverse range of individuals and interests
- Can be relied upon to effectively manage confidential information
- Excellent working knowledge of a range of different computer programmes including Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
- An enthusiastic attitude to learn new things and a motivated attitude
