  • Fixed-term role until August 2025
  • Located at Taranaki Base Hospital, with travel to the South as and when required
  • Suitable for a Clinical Psychologist with a current New Zealand APC

Join our passionate Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team in Taranaki as a skilled Psychologist dedicated to transforming the lives of children and young people facing mental health and behavioural challenges.

To be successful in this role you will be : -

  • Undertaking assessments, formulating and planning goals with children, young people and their whanau
  • Providing client-centred care, utilising evidence-based therapies and strategies 
  • Coordinating care at the right time with input from the wider team and external providers
  • Providing Psychology consultancy and support to the wider team

Moū | About you

  • Clinical Psychologist with a current New Zealand Practicing Certificate
  • Passion for Mental Health & Addictions, exceptional interpersonal & communication skills
  • Experience and confidence undertaking neuropsychological assessments and interpretation
  • Experience within specialist Child & Adolescent Mental Health preferred
  • Excellent assessment, communication & relationship building skills
  • Flexibility to work autonomously as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Understanding and application of the principles of the treaty of Waitangi, with a culturally safe and appropriate approach to practice
