Mō te tūranga - About the role

We are looking for Clinical Psychologists across various services in the district including:

  • Youth Forensic
  • Intellectual Disabilities and Community
  • Child, Adolescent and Family service
  • Child and Family Mental Health service
  • Community Mental Health teams
  • Specialist Addiction services

We have positions available in Dunedin, Southland, Queenstown Lakes, Gore and Balclutha - there's something to suit everyone and every lifestyle!

Mōu ake - About you:

  • Proven competence, knowledge, and skills in clinical and neuro psychology with a strong knowledge of relevant and appropriate psychological assessments and evidenced based interventions
  • Current registration with the NZ Psychologists Board and a current Annual Practicing Certificate with a Clinical Scope of Practice
  • Demonstrated commitment to clinical and professional development, including continuous learning and updating of skills and knowledge
  • Motivated team player with exceptional communication and time management skills
  • Thrive in a busy and diverse working environment, with the ability to work well in stressful situations

Previous experience in a mental health setting, and/or a strong desire to work in the mental health space is essential.

Utu whānui - Salary range

This role belongs to the DHBs/APEX Psychologists Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($85,000 p.a) and Step 10 ($130,000 p.a pro-rata).
