About the role | Mō te tūnga
Benchtop Concepts is looking for a skilled CNC Programmer & Operator to join their team. In this role, you will manage up to four direct reports, report to the Business Owner, and play a pivotal role in fabrication and sequencing other ancillary tasks.

Benchtop Concepts is looking for a skilled CNC Programmer & Operator to join their team. In this role, you will manage up to four direct reports, report to the Business Owner, and play a pivotal role in fabrication and sequencing other ancillary tasks.
Preferably, the team leader will have an understanding of the overall stone benchtop fabrication process, which includes:
- Operating a CNC bridge saw
- Operating an edge polisher
- Programming and operating a CNC stone router using digital templates
- Hand fabrication skills are beneficial but not essential
- 2-3 years’ experience as a CNC Programmer & Operator in a stone fabrication environment or similar role
- Previous experience guiding a team, ensuring efficient workflow and fostering collaboration
- Comfortable with reading and interpreting plans
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
