About our Team

MSD have a team of highly capable procurement professionals that purchase a wide range of products and services. The team has a great culture, and a great vision for success, and has now established a new role of Commercial Oversight Advisor. 

 

About the Role

The primary role of the Commercial Oversight Advisor is to provide advice and support for our commercial and procurement services team and across MSD. Including supporting governance board operations and commercial and procurement initiatives.

 

About You

We're seeking an engaging and dedicated professional who's comfortable working independently within established frameworks, can analyse and manage government processes, support governance board operations and projects or programmes of work in a commercial environment. 

You'll have the background experience to confidently identify issues and recommend improvements that support processes and contribute to the enablement of strategic decision making.

We're keen to hear from applicants who have demonstrated skillsets in the following: 

  • Supporting procurement/commercial teams
  • The ability to capture, record and report key information and data to support commercial, governance and audit activities
  • Providing high-quality, timely advice and analysis, including development of reports/business cases 
  • Project management skills
  • A flexible communicator with a range of styles that ensure everyone hears and understands the message
  • The ability to produce excellent written documentation
  • A strong partnership builder who can participate and work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business
  • An understanding of Government Procurement rules and a good working knowledge of the industry's best practice standards
