Would you like to join an enthusiastic, forward thinking team? We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated mental health worker.

The Intensive Community team is an innovative, recovery focused team who are committed to excellent care and the best outcomes for our Service users. We provide assertive community-based interventions for Service users who have high and complex needs within the Counties Manukau catchment area.

As a community support worker, you will be responsible for ongoing support around assessment, within a community setting, to a designated caseload of service users. You will be working closely with a registered health care professional to deliver an integrated and assertive model of mental health care.

In order to be considered for this role, it is essential to hold a Level 4 National Certificate in Mental Health and a full, clean driver’s licence.

Essential:

• Recovery focussed and able to display this from previous work history

• Knowledge of mental illness and treatment interventions

• At least 2 years’ experience in a community setting

• National Certificate in Mental Health Level 4 (compulsory)

• Clean and current full drivers licence

• Strong cultural understanding of Tikanga Maaori and Pacific Islander People

The role is based at 6/17 Lambie Drive, Manukau.
