Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract Manager to oversee an important storm water maintenance contract within Auckland. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil or water engineering, with a focus on contract management and team leadership. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple teams, and a strong emphasis on client relationship management and cost control.

About the job:
- Contract Management: Manage and oversee a Local Govt Stormwater Maintenance contract, ensuring compliance with contract standards 3910 and 3917.
- Stormwater Engineering: Utilize at least 3 years of experience in stormwater engineering to guide decisions and ensure technical excellence.
- Team Leadership: Organize and control activities of multiple small, mobile teams across diverse locations in Auckland.
- Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and contract renewal.
- Cost Management: Control costs and manage for profit in an environment with potential financial risks.
- Team Building: Hire, inspire, motivate, and build teams of motivated workers to create a productive work environment.


About You:
- Qualifications: Level 4 Diploma or higher in Civil Engineering or Water Engineering.
- Experience: Previous experience in managing maintenance contracts and at least 3 years in stormwater engineering.
- Contract Knowledge: Familiarity with Contract Standards 3910 and 3917.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
- Client Management: Excellent client relationship skills.
- Financial Management: Ability to manage costs and ensure profitability.
