Coordinating Telephonist, Telephony office

 Palmerston North Hospital

We are seeking a highly motivated, efficient, and enthusiastic person to join the team working as a Telephonist at the Palmerston North Hospital.

The Telephony office hours are 24 hours per day 7 days per week so you must be available to work rostered duties including weekends.

We are looking for people who once trained can work as part of a team but also be able to work on their own outside of normal working hours.

The successful applicants will need to have a strong customer service background with excellent communication skills and a professional and pleasant telephone manner.

For this role it is essential to also have the following:

  • Leadership experience
  • The ability to lead a team
  • Be able to think on one's feet.
  • Be innovative and able to implement change management as required.

Other skills include:

  • Excellent keyboard skills
  • Previous telephony experience or be able to learn quickly.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work under pressure.
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to self-manage to ensure deadlines are achieved.
  • Ability to maintain a high standard of accuracy.
  • Able to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Have a customer-focused approach to all aspects of work.
