About the Team/Location

We are looking to employ NZ registered midwives with loads of passion and commitment to join our maternity team. 

We have 1,000 births a year and we can promise that your core midwifery role will be busy and varied - so no two days will be the same. The best thing is that our service is midwifery led so you will get to be a midwife practising in all the areas you love!

About you

  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
  • All midwives are welcome to apply!
  • As a midwife you will be able to use all of your clinical, time management and organisational skills and expertise across pregnancy, birthing and postnatal care.
  • You will be an important member of maternity service and support us to achieve the broader organisational health care objective
  • You will be committed to women centred and culturally respectful care.
  • Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
