About the Role
We are looking to employ a NZ registered midwife with loads of passion and commitment to join our maternity team, working 8 or 12 hour shifts that are rostered across AM, PM and nights.
We have 500 births a year and we can promise that your core midwifery role will be busy and varied - so no two days will be the same. The best thing is that our service is midwifery led so you will get tobe a midwife practising in all the areas you love!

As a midwife you will be able to use all of your clinical, time management and organisational skills and expertise across pregnancy, birthing and postnatal care. You will be an important member of maternity service and support us to achieve the broader organisational health care objectives.
About the Team/Location
The midwifery team at Wairau is awesome! Our midwifery led service has close collegial relationships with our Obstetric and Paediatric teams too. The team not only makes such a positive work environment to be in - they love to get together for social activities too! You will be guaranteed to receive a very warm welcome into our team.

About you
- Clinical support from a midwifery educator and clinical coach? You sure will have!

- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
