The Company & The Role:
A multi-disciplinary consultancy is on the lookout for a Senior Civil Engineer. This is an exciting role, where you will be overseeing the technical leadership on projects and assisting a Team Leader plus a team of 3 Designers/Engineers. You will be working on commercial projects and collaborating with other disciplines from Geotechnical, Structural, Surveying, Planning and Environmental Services.
The successful candidate would have a broad scope to their responsibilities and proven experience within New Zealand be it within 3 Waters, Infrastructure and / or Land Development. CPEng is a must, alongside local market knowledge in NZ. You will also be comfortable with the technical mentorship of the junior staff (however not necessarily their direct responsibility).

- Review and approve project designs, calculations, plans, and specifications to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Ensure that engineering solutions are innovative, efficient, and cost-effective, while meeting project goals and client expectations.
- Conduct technical reviews and audits to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Address and resolve any technical challenges or discrepancies that may arise during the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all project designs and activities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements, including environmental, safety, and zoning regulations.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the engineering team.
