Job Description

Our client is a significant and reputable bank with a global presence. They are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Credit Analyst to join their Credit and Risk team. This person will work closely with Credit Managers to contribute to successful business growth, credit portfolio management, processes, and credit asset performance.

The Role:

  • Proactively manage the credit portfolio in collaboration with the Credit Managers including streamlining the credit process, assisting in loan draw down and the ongoing customer management
  • Use of financial modelling to assess credit applications, term sheets, and covenant controls
  • Contribute to informed decision making by monitoring portfolio sector performance and providing market research summaries to proactively identify warning signs and deteriorating trends
  • Creating and presenting reports as required by the bank and offer insight to aid strategic initiatives
  • Transactional banking, flexibility to embrace needs assigned by the department and bank, and adherence of all bank policies and procedures
  • Maintaining bank database and monitoring loan performance

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Relevant education
  • New Zealand banking experience in credit
  • Previous work in credit risk and approval work for corporate or institutional accounts
  • Strong analytic skills with effective communication, problem solving, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Sound and up to date understanding of local market
  • Transactional Banking skills to assist in resolving daily credit queries and facilitate credit decision processes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to speak Mandarin or Cantonese is advantageous, but not essential
